Dear Diary has gone global. The fear of blogging is the awareness. The inability to write freely, without inhibition, knowing the tiny key to your plastic diary is safely hiding underneath your pillow. Your thoughts, dreams, rants are there for strangers, and sometimes even worse, those you know, to invade your privacy.
But with that invasion creates a new possibility. The possibility that those crazy emotions, those scatterbrained cranial ramblings may actually make sense to somebody. That you can express your commentary about mindless reality shows while you're also fighting the constant realities of injustice in the world and that someone might see your point- and actually care. Well, that's what writing's all about. Community. Expression. And with those elements, and a chance to grow and connect. While we struggle to not take ourselves so seriously.
